Wearing an airbag vest provides additional protection when riding a motorcycle, but it is also an additional layer. And while temperatures are on the rise, especially in the summer with the multiplication of heat waves, wearing an airbag system in addition to your jacket is not necessarily ideal in terms of comfort.
Tucano Urbano, which entered the motorcycle airbag market two years ago with its AirScud, has decided to offer a new version of its vest, the AirScud Mesh, which is precisely adapted to higher temperatures.
This airbag vest, which has the particularity of being equipped with removable sleeves, is technically identical to its predecessor since it is still based on the technology developed by In&Motion in terms of airbags and which is already available from other brands.
Providing back, neck, torso and abdominal protection with detection and inflation that takes less than 60 milliseconds combined, the AirScud Mesh vest here features the integration of large mesh panels on the chest and arms. It also features Level 1 back protection and D3O T5 Evo X elbow and shoulder protection.
The Tucano Urbano AirScud Mesh airbag vest comes in a single black color and is available in a limited edition for 479 euros. At this price, you must also consider adding the subscription to the In&Motion service, which costs 12 euros per month.
