Unleashing Power and Versatility with the Trail Voge 900 DSX

The sibling of the BMW F 900 GS finally ready
Inline twin-cylinder of 895 cm3, 95 hp and 94 Nm, 215 kg,

Voge is the international brand of the Chinese manufacturer Loncin. Moreover, it is known that the latter is responsible for the production of inline twin-cylinder engines of medium displacement for BMW Motorrad. So, when the brand announced that it was going to utilize the 895 cm3 twin in a trail, it naturally caught our attention.

But that was in 2022, and at the time, BMW only used this engine block for the F 900 R and F 900 XR. Since then, things have changed as the German manufacturer has also incorporated it into its new range of F 900 GS. Nevertheless, the wait is soon over for the Voge.

Initially presented as the 900 DS, then as the DS900X last autumn, it will finally be named the 900 DSX at dealerships. At the heart of this versatile trail, we find the same vertical twin of 895 cm3, but with quite different performances. The Chinese manufacturer has chosen to limit the power of its trail to 95.2 hp (70 kW), whereas the F 900 GS reaches 105 hp.

The chassis is quite similar, featuring a bridge-type frame at the front using the engine as a load-bearing element and a rear loop made of steel tubes. The double-sided swingarm adopts the same design. The difference lies more in the suspension, with Voge featuring KYB components, adjustable for both rebound and compression at the front, offering 194 mm of travel for the fork and 198 mm for the linkage-mounted shock absorber.

Braking is ensured by Brembo floating calipers with dual pistons, while the 21 and 17-inch spoke wheels are fitted with Pirelli Scorpion Rally tires, and the bike boasts a weight of 215 kg.

Apart from the design, what clearly sets the 900 DSX apart from the 900 GS is its level of equipment. Voge has chosen to integrate a maximum of equipment and technology into its standard model. Thus, it features a 7-inch TFT display, keyless ignition, USB and 12V sockets, Bluetooth connectivity, TPMS, heated grips and seats, handguards, frame protections, an adjustable windshield, three riding modes, ABS, traction control, cruise control, a front camera, a bidirectional quickshifter, and a rear collision sensor.

With all the integrated features included as standard, the price stands at $12,115 USD
