This year is a bit special for Harley-Davidson as it celebrates the 25th anniversary of its Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) program. To commemorate a quarter-century of customizing high-end motorcycles in series, the Milwaukee-based manufacturer dares to adapt its maxi-trail with a CVO twist and unveils the very first edition of the CVO Pan America.
On the technical side, there are no surprises as it features everything already found on the Pan America 1250 Special, from its V-Twin Revolution Max 1250 engine to the semi-active suspension and Brembo radial brake calipers.
For this edition, Harley-Davidson has expanded the list of features by adding a multitude of travel-oriented equipment such as SW-Motech aluminum luggage including a top case and side panniers, as well as tubular protectors, an aluminum skid plate, or LED auxiliary lights.
There’s also no shortage of technology and assistance, with features like the Screamin Eagle quickshifter, various riding modes, the adaptive Daymaker headlight, connected TFT display, and the adjustable riding height system.
And like any respectable CVO, this Pan America stands out with a specific livery featuring a unique color scheme, here the Legendary Orange, which notably includes the traditional Number One logo on the sides of the fuel tank.
The CVO Pan America hits dealer floors this January and it is priced at at $28,399 – $8,400 more than the Pan America 1250 Special.
