5.5″ touchscreen, built-in battery, navigation, media functions, route planning and sharing capabilities
The ConnectedRide Navigator is compatible with most Bavarian motorcycles since 2014
Last week, BMW Motorrad delved into its 2024 lineup, introducing significant updates with the F 900 GS, F 900 GS Adventure, and F 800 GS, with the highly anticipated 1300 GS on the horizon. Additionally, the German manufacturer unveiled the all-new ConnectedRide Navigator.
This is a new addition to BMW’s connected ecosystem, alongside the manufacturer’s app and Smartglasses. It provides a secondary navigation screen in addition to the dashboard, controlled through the multi-controller. It also allows control of smartphone features, especially media apps and phone functions, and the ability to record riding experiences.
The ConnectedRide Navigator features a large, bright 5.5-inch touchscreen designed for excellent visibility, even in direct sunlight. It works seamlessly with the motorcycle’s TFT dashboard and can be connected either directly to the bike’s electrical system or through a USB-C cable.
For updates and real-time information, you can insert a SIM card or connect to a Wi-Fi hotspot, such as through your smartphone.
The system is also integrated with MyBMW Cloud. Simply log in to your account and connect the device to the Cloud to synchronize your planned routes, traveled routes, and more. This information can then be accessed through the mobile app or on a PC.
The good news is that the Navigator has been designed to work with a wide range of BMW Motorrad motorcycles from the last decade. In addition to seamlessly integrating with the motorcycle’s design, it is compatible with nearly all BMW motorcycles produced since 2014, provided they have the Multicontroller and optional navigation preparation equipment.
