New Connectivity With Turn-By-Turn+ Navigation
160 hp and 138 Nm, Adaptive Cruise Control, Semi-Active Suspensions, 7″ TFT meter
Model after model, KTM continues to unveil its 2023 model year, and more particularly its range of trail bikes. After presenting the evolutions of the 890 Adventure and 890 Adventure R, and announcing the return of the 790 Adventure, it is now the big 1290 Super Adventure S that shows itself.
The 1290 Super Adventure S has a special place in the Austrian manufacturer’s motorcycle lineup, as it is the model that has served as the brand’s technical and technological flagship since 2015. With the unveiling of the third generation in 2021, KTM has modernized its big road trail by inaugurating its new technological platform with the integration of a new 6D inertial unit and radar sensors that have enabled the addition of automatic cruise control.
Barely two years after this major evolution, the 1290 is wiser than its little sisters in terms of new features. Indeed, the big Austrian is content to enrich the connectivity of its 7-inch TFT display with the addition of turn-by-turn navigation via the KTMConnect application as standard.
As for the rest, the model remains strictly the same, still powered by its 1,301 cc LC8 75° V-Twin delivering 160 horsepower and 138 Nm, housed in a steel trellis frame and equipped with WP Apex suspensions with semi-active adjustment.
KTM is also offering the 1290 Super Adventure S in two new liveries, orange and grey.
This 2023 model will be available in dealerships from January, at a price of 20,665 euros.
