Two limited editions of 260 copies each
It has been more than a decade since Ducati last won a world title in one of the major speed championships. Its last successes at the highest level were in 2007 in MotoGP with Casey Stoner’s victory and in 2011 in WorldSBK with Carlos Checa’s.
But thanks to perseverance, the Bologna-based company achieved a superb performance this season, winning the two major titles thanks to Francesco Bagnaia, who won the Grand Prix on the Desmosedici GP22, and Alvaro Bautista, who won the Superbike title on the Panigale V4 R.
To celebrate this incredible success, the Bologna-based manufacturer has decided to release two special editions of its sporty Panigale V4.
Based on the V4 S, these two “Champion Replica” models feature the livery of Pecco Bagnaia and Alvaro Bautista’s bikes, with the autograph of each rider on the tank.
Just like the racing machines they are inspired by, the V4 Champion Replica is presented in a single-seater configuration with some specific equipment such as a nine-disc STM-EVO SBK dry clutch, a road-approved Akrapovic muffler, Brembo Stylema R brake calipers, a remote-adjustable MCS master cylinder, Rizoma footrests that can be adjusted from the ground, and a racing bubble.
The machines also start with carbon fiber elements with the heat shield of the rear exhaust manifold, the cover of the alternator, the ailerons, the ducts of the front brake hoses or the protection of the swingarm which also includes titanium.
But when you say special series, you also say limited production. Each bike will be produced in a limited edition of 260 units and will feature laser engraving on the upper fork crown. Each model will also be delivered in a specially flocked carrying case, with a certificate of authenticity, a personalized cover and the Ducati Data Analyser+ system.
